A Little Canada man was charged Monday with strangling a woman who was working as a prostitute in an Eagan hotel room this month, prosecutors say.Philip Jedidiah Wong, 25, admitted to police he paid the woman for sex Oct. 12 but said he didn’t learn she was dead until someone from her “organization” called and told him, according to the criminal complaint charging him with second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.Philip Jedidiah Wong (Courtesy of the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office)Wong said he did not believe she was dead and thought it was a scam and they were trying to get more money from him, the complaint says. MAPLEWOOD, Mo. – A Town and Country man is charged in connection with a homicide outside a Maplewood apartment building.According to Corporal Dustin Hoskins, a spokesman for the Maplewood Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue just after 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26.Police found a male victim, Terron Vales, in the courtyard, suffering from a gunshot wound. A Riverside County resident has tested positive for tuberculosis, the county's Public Health Department announced Monday.That person is currently undergoing treatment and is expected to recover.Public health officials have contacted members of the public who may have come in contact with this person, who could have been exposed between Sept. 5 and Oct. 16.The individual is affiliated with California Baptist University in Riverside and is believed to have come in close contact with about 150 people at the school, which has more than 15,000 faculty, students and staff.Those who may have been exposed will be receiving an electronic notice from the Riverside County Department of Public Health.
