(NEWS10) -- Habitat for Humanity Capital District has completed six new affordable homes on Orange Street in Albany. The homes were made possible in part through the American Rescue Plan Act Grant Program. Boulder POP may soon have new independent police monitor The Boulder Police Oversight Panel has been without an independent police monitor for the better part of a year, but at a panel meeting Wednesday evening city staff said progress had been made on hiring a new monitor.Aimee Kane, equity officer for Boulder, said at the meeting that 53 applications have been received for the position. A recruiter has narrowed the candidates down to a smaller pool, and there will be a meeting with the recruiter Thursday to determine who will advance to virtual interviews. Those interviews are scheduled for the next two weeks.Kane also said there will be a community event on July 11 where community members will be able to meet the candidates. They will also have the opportunity to submit questions for the candidates in advance.
