The Orange County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fight recorded on video last week showing two Marines being beaten by a crowd at the San Clemente Pier.The video was taken on May 26 and shows several Marines walking away from a crowd of what appears to be primarily teenagers and young adults when someone seems to throw something at one of the Marines. The Marine then turns and charges into the crowd where he is punched several times.Later, the video shows two Marines curled up in the fetal position as they are punched and kicked by several crowd members.Cell phone video recorded the beaten of two off-duty Marines on the San Clemente Pier. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a fatal assault of a man near Venice Tuesday morning.The attack was reported just after 6 a.m. in the 600 block of Washington Boulevard, the LAPD said.It was initially indicated that the killing was a battery, according to Officer Cruz, but that was later changed to an assault of a man.According to information shared to the Citizen app, the attack was a stabbing.Police said they believe the man, who is between 40 and 45 years old, had been stabbed multiple times before he was discovered on a dirt path between two houses, but that will have to be confirmed by the coroner.He was pronounced dead at the scene.Luis Zuniga and Alberto Mendez contributed to this report.Robert Barratta Injured in Bicycle Crash on Russell Road [Las Vegas, NV]

35-Year-Old Man Sent to Hospital Following Bicycle Accident near Hollywood BoulevardLAS VEGAS, NV (May 30, 2023) – Late Tuesday night, a bicycle accident on Russell Road left major injuries to Robert Barratta of Las Vegas.The collision happened at about 10:40 p.m., May 16th, near Hollywood Boulevard.According to reports, the bicycle rider heading west on Russell, for unknown reasons, veered into the center turn lane and overturned.The crash ejected the rider off his bicycle. A 41-year-old man facing a weapons charge in federal court is being held without bond after a judge ruled that he’s a flight risk and a community threat.Chad Edward Keith, who is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, allegedly had ten firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition at his Colorado Springs home, according to a criminal complaint against him.The complaint, filed by an FBI investigator assigned to a Joint Terrorism Task Force, claims that Keith is a white supremacist and a Nazi with plans of operating a “white private community” school for teenagers, on a 2.6-acre property he owns near Cotopaxi that would include “hard core weapons training” and an “anti-Semitic curriculum.”In 2003, Keith pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of possessing an unregistered firearm — a destructive device.
