Fatal crash closes portion of East Dry Creek Road in Centennial A fatal crash forced authorities to close all but one lane of East Dry Creek Road in Centennial Sunday afternoon, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. on East Dry Creek Road between South Yosemite Street and South Alton Way. A driver lost control of a vehicle and hit a parking garage, according to the sheriff’s office. The vehicle then burst into flames.The driver died, and a passenger who was in the vehicle was taken to a hospital. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Ginger Delgado did not know the survivor’s condition Sunday. She also could not say whether investigators suspect the driver was intoxicated or speeding before the crash.Authorities closed all eastbound lanes of East Dry Creek Road and all but one lane of the westbound road between South Yosemite Street and South Alton Way. BSO searching for man accused of stealing car with 3-year-old inside; child found safe in vehicle Authorities are searching for a man who, they said, stole a car with a 3-year-old boy inside from the parking lot of a restaurant in Oakland Park.According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Phillip Pepe Jr. broke into the vehicle that was parked outside of the IHOP along West Oakland Park Boulevard, Saturday morning.Investigators said the child’s mother was inside the restaurant at the time of the incident.Detectives said Pepe, 33, was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.
