Man arrested for allegedly threatening to bomb L.A. County bank A San Gabriel Valley man was arrested on federal charges for allegedly threatening to bomb a local bank.The suspect was identified as Daniel Isaac Gonzalez, 23, of Montebello, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In July 2023, a security guard at a Cathay Bank in El Monte “received a profanity-laced text message on his personal phone," officials said.The text message had threatened to bomb the bank where the guard was assigned at the time. Safeway in Half Moon Bay evacuated due to possible armed shoplifter: sheriff (KRON) -- A Safeway in Half Moon Bay was evacuated Saturday evening due to a shoplifter with a possible firearm, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office (SMCSO) said. Employees and customers were evacuated around 6 p.m. at the location on 70 Cabrillo Hwy N. SMCSO did not confirm if the alleged shoplifter had a firearm.Armed officers were seen inside the Safeway, according to multiple Nextdoor posts.
