8th bus carrying migrants from Texas arrives in Los Angeles An eighth bus from Texas carrying asylum seekers arrived in Los Angeles Thursday morning, organizers said.A total of 40 migrants arrived at Union Station from Brownsville, Texas around 11:10 a.m. Thursday, according to the L.A. Woman, infant found safe after kidnapping in Oakland OAKLAND — A woman and an infant were found safe after they were apparently kidnapped Wednesday, police said.Police were investigating the kidnapping and did not announce any arrests. They said the kidnapping happened about 9 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 33rd Street.
