By Matthew Nuttle | KITVKONA, Hawaii (KITV) — A group of over 30 swimmers was cited on the Big Island after being caught chasing after a pod of dolphins at Honaunau Bay over the weekend.Officers with the Department of Land and Natural Resources’ (DLNR) Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE) issued citations to 33 swimmers for the incident that took place on Sunday.Using a drone, DLNR captured images and video of the swimmers “aggressively pursuing, corralling, and harassing the pod,” officials said.DOCARE officers contacted the group in the water and alerted them to the violation. (KRON) -- A former employee of the City of San Jose was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting multiple underage victims over several years, the San Jose Police Department reported. A victim came forward on March 21 and told police the 33-year-old suspect, Gilberto Nevarez, sexually assaulted them from age 6 to 13.An investigation into the victim's report revealed several other underage victims. SF apartment garage break-in caught on video On March 22, Nevarez was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County jail. He was charged with multiple counts of sexual assaults of numerous minors.Nevarez was previously employed as a Community Activity Worker for the City of San Jose. The SJPD is asking residents and business owners to register locations of their private video surveillance systems with the city. When a crime occurs, police will be able to quickly identify locations of nearby home or business surveillance cameras that could help officers with their investigation.
