SPANISH LAKE, Mo. - Spanish Lake Townhomes residents will be welcoming new neighbors in the next couple of weeks.The St. Louis County Police Department is adding a sub-station to the property. The sub-station will move into the property's old leasing office.“I think it was important to have it here because it fills a need in the area," said Joe Stilwell, the regional property manager. Copper Mountain will enjoy its longest ski season in 25 years with a two-week extension that was announced by resort officials on Wednesday.Thanks to abundant snow that fell consistently throughout its golden anniversary season, Copper Mountain will remain open through May 7.“It’s been a great 50th season,” said Copper’s president and general manager, Dustin Lyman, according to a news release. “The strong start and consistent snowfall all winter, paired with incredible work from our mountain operations team, has put us in a really good position to extend. We’re excited to provide more opportunities for our guests to get out and enjoy the mountain this spring. Eight children were treated Wednesday afternoon after possibly ingesting marijuana gummies at a school in Sun Valley, officials said.The incident was reported around 1:20 p.m. at 7330 N. Bakman Avenue, the site of Sun Valley Magnet School, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.The patients were being evaluated for "sudden illness" after ingesting what is believed to be chewable marijuana, officials said. They were all conscious and breathing.The boys and girls are between 12 and 16 years old. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A firearm was found after two students got into an altercation Wednesday afternoon at James Denman Middle School, according to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD). (KRON) -- Highway 1, a major corridor connecting Santa Cruz County to Monterey County along the coast, was fully shutdown for four days because of flooding south of Watsonville.The California Highway Patrol Santa Cruz wrote, "A levee breach has eroded the embankment around the Pajaro Bridge.
