After an uncomfortably hot day of humidity, severe thunderstorms heading into the D.C. area Saturday evening have caused flood alerts and severe thunderstorm warnings across the region. A bear seen roaming a Homestead neighborhood has been caught and relocated to the west coast of Florida, authorities said.Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed on Saturday that the four-legged drifter was caught sometime on Friday.Ring doorbell video captured the wild animal as it walked toward the doorstep of a home and took a stroll in the Isles of Oasis neighborhood, near 147th Avenue and Pacific Drive, Thursday night.The bear was also spotted at a local Publix supermarket and Baptist Health Homestead Hospital.On Friday morning, area residents reacted to the Ring video.“Oh, my God! Firefighters have recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy who went missing while swimming at Shannon Beach in Winchester on Saturday.Troopers and members of the Massachusetts Environmental Police responded to the beach in the Upper Mystic Lakes around 7 p.m. and the teen’s body was later recovered by firefighters, state police said. Their name has not been released.A preliminary investigation suggests the victim was with a group swimming approximately 100 yards offshore outside the swim zone. At some point fellow swimmers realized he was no longer at the surface. Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins exited Saturday’s game against the Miami Marlins in the second inning with right quadriceps tightness, the team announced.After hitting an RBI single in the second inning, Mullins sprinted around the bases on a near-double from Jordan Westburg that was ruled foul.
