The Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in a Dania Beach neighborhood.The incident unfolded shortly before 9:30 a.m. Monday when authorities received a call reporting a fire at 41 SW 7th Ave. First responders from the Broward Sheriff’s Office were on the scene and immediately noticed thick plumes of heavy-black smoke emanating from the rear of a small single-family home.Firefighters aggressively attacked the flames before they located the fire in a rear bedroom. A 70-year-old Miami man is facing second-degree murder charges with a weapon after fatally shooting his wife in front of their child. The confrontation unfolded on Sunday around 12:45 a.m. at their residence in the Royal Duke Mobile Home Park, located at 3620 NW 30th Ave in Miami. An Oregon man was arraigned in Boston on Monday after authorities say he confessed to his role in the death of a 24-year-old woman in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, as well as another murder.Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced that John Michael Irmer, 68, was transported from Portland, Oregon, to Massachusetts to face charges for the rape and murder of Susan Marcia Rose, who was killed on Oct. 30, 1979, in a Back Bay apartment building.According to the DA’s office, it was last month when Irmer walked into the Portland FBI field office and volunteered to agents that he met a woman with red hair at a skating rink around Halloween in Boston in 1979.
